Information for Prospective Students of the Accounting and Financial Management Department
a) Conditions Regarding the Optional Foreign Language Preparation Class Programme
Foreign language preparation education is optional in the programme.
b) Internship, education model (number of terms per year, practical training in industries and businesses, etc.), industry-based teaching internship, how practical training is conducted, and whether it can be carried out outside the province where the higher education institution is located:
Students are required to pass the courses they are obliged to take in accordance with the Kütahya Dumlupınar University Undergraduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulations and to complete an internship. The compulsory internship consists of two internships. I. Internship: Must have taken courses in the 3rd and 4th semesters and must be completed during the summer following the 4th semester or between the following autumn and spring semesters. Internship II is completed during the summer following the 6th semester or between the following autumn and spring semesters, provided that the student has taken courses in the 5th and 6th semesters and has successfully completed Internship I (obtained a passing grade). Places where Accounting and Financial Management Department students can undertake internships are: SMMM, YMM, Independent Audit Companies, Independent Assessment-Rating and Support Organisations, accounting departments of companies traded on BIST, and accounting departments of public and private sector companies. Furthermore, the first internship location must be an accounting office, and the second internship location must be a company (joint stock companies and limited companies with over 100 employees). Each summer internship undertaken by students lasts for 20 (twenty) working days. Students are required to complete at least 2 (two) internships and successfully complete these internships. c) Clothing and equipment required for the profession:
There is no clothing or equipment requirement for the courses in the programme.
d) Consumable materials, tools and equipment costs to be used in course applications; examination, material and teaching service fees:
No teaching fees are charged for teaching services.
e) Programme content, faculty, college and vocational school location/campus:
Our programme is affiliated with the Kütahya Faculty of Applied Sciences, located at the Evliya Çelebi Campus in the centre of Kütahya province. Our campus has a library, canteen, Olympic-size swimming pool and indoor sports hall, and student accommodation is within walking distance of the faculty.
