Insurance and Risk Management Department Prospective Student

a) Optional foreign language preparatory class programme:

Foreign language preparatory education is optional in the programme.

b) Internship, education model (number of terms per year, practical training in the sector and businesses, etc.), industry-based teaching internship, how practical training is conducted, and whether it can be carried out outside the province where the higher education institution is located:

Students in the Insurance and Risk Management department are required to pass the courses they are obliged to take in accordance with the Kütahya Dumlupınar University Undergraduate Education, Teaching and Examination Regulations and to complete an internship. The compulsory internship consists of two internships. Each internship lasts 20 (twenty) working days. Places where Insurance and Risk Management Department students can undertake their internships include: Insurance Companies (Head Offices and Regional Offices), Insurance Intermediaries (Agents (Type A), Brokers), Risk Management Companies, Life and Pension Companies, Public Insurance Institutions (Social Security Institution, Undersecretariat of Treasury, etc.), Independent Audit Companies, and the insurance departments of Consultancy Companies.

c) Clothing and equipment required for the profession:

There is no clothing or equipment requirement for the courses in the programme.

d) Consumable materials, tools and equipment expenses to be used in course applications; examination, material and teaching service expenses:

No teaching expenses are charged for teaching services.

e) Programme content, faculty, college and vocational school location/campus:

Our programme is affiliated with the Kütahya Faculty of Applied Sciences, located at the Evliya Çelebi Campus in the centre of Kütahya province. Our campus has a library, a canteen, an Olympic-size swimming pool and an indoor sports hall, and student accommodation is within walking distance of the faculty.
